Tulum Mexican Restaurant and Grill: Authentic Mexican Flavors in Plover, WI

Tulum is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Stevens Point/Plover area. Their service is top notch. I ordered tacos de carne asada. Not only was the presentation on point, but the flavor was phenomenal. There was a birthday being celebrated a few tables down & all of the servers sang to the birthday girl which was so fun to see. Mauricio was the BEST server (& oh so handsome). We will be back again. Thank you Tulum!

What an incredibly wonderful restaurant. The service was fantastic. The margaritas were stout. The salsa was great. The food came quickly, and was delicious. The flan was second to none! We hope to eat here again when in the area.

One of my favorite Mexican places in town. I love getting anything with their mole sauce on it. The margarita flight is insane and is actually four full margaritas, so make sure to have a sober driver. I have always had great service and love how kind the staff are.

Omg. Do it. It's so hard for a Mexican restaurant to hit the right mix of hot/flavorful. This restaurant does it everywhere. The salsa was perfect! Not too hot, flavorful, not too thick or soupy. My chicken burrito was amazing...tender and great flavor. My daughter's enchiladas were great heat and flavor. Mexican rice is usually either dry/crunchy, or like soup. This restaurant, the rice was firm, delicate and wonderful flavor. Sixty years on this earth, best Mexican food I've ever had, including meals in Mexico!!!!!!

Stopped here for a late lunch. We were seated right away. Drinks were ordered and chips and salsa delivered to our table. Once we ordered, our food was delivered super quickly. My wife had enchiladas, and I ordered a beef chimichanga. The food was good, although the chimi was a little soggy and on the smallish size. Otherwise everything was great.

Wow!!! This is the best Mexican food we have had in central Wisconsin. The beans were velvet and full of flavor. The meat was flavorful and tender. Everything we had was top notch. We will most definitely be back.

Fabulous lunch at Tulum in Plover! The service was excellent, ambiance was welcoming, and the food was excellent! I really liked their complimentary chips and salsa. Portions were very generous! I highly recommend Tulum for your next visit to Plover. I highly recommend their molcajetes, which I think are some of their highly popular signature dishes! Now that's a special dish. They come out sizzling hot with rice, veggies, beans, and tortillas. One order of molcajetes can probably feed two people.

Yelp, how does this place barely have any reviews? Y'all need to come here ASAP because it's fantastic! Hidden in the corner of a moderately empty but newer strip mall is a rare time where I loved every aspect of my meal. From the start, warm and crisp tortilla chips and a salsa with a little kick hit our table. We ordered the bean and cheese nachos and a side of guacamole. The nachos were straight up beans and cheese but I am not mad in the least because the beans are creamy and savory and the cheese dip was smooth and didn't get all "plastic" and congealed right away like a lot of places. The guacamole was creamy and just the right balance of ingredients so it's not overwhelmingly any one thing. I ordered the chimichanga cuata and the tortillas were fried perfectly and the chicken and beef inside was tender and flavorful. My cousin got the burrito Jalisco with well seasoned and moist ground beef. Everything was well seasoned and not overly salty as things can tend to get at Mexican restaurants. The service was on point and super friendly despite the packed house. Things came out at a perfect pace and nice and hot. The atmosphere is lively but not super loud or overwhelming. Definitely will be back next time we're in the area!
